The central characters of these novels are three women- Nayana, Torali and Sujata. It is a unique trilogy and the characters are not only women but human beings as a whole who try to thrive in the society with self-respect even at the cost of great trouble. Written in different atmosphere and locale, these novels encompass life through its length and breath. We may or may not agree with the characters, their philosophy and values, their troubles and struggles, but we cannot ignore them.
